Your pattern work stays in your browser. Paterna currently works without an account, and creates pattern previews and downloads on your device.
Your workspace and Custom presets
The studio uses your browser’s local storage to remember your current workspace and Custom presets. This includes pattern settings, canvas size, colors and any names you give your presets.
These records are stored under paterna-studio-v1. Your light or dark theme preference is stored separately under paterna-theme, and your language selection under paterna-language. The application does not upload this workspace or these presets to a Paterna account or cloud database.
How long it stays
Local storage can persist after you close the browser. Your browser may remove it, and you can clear it at any time through the browser’s site-data settings. Private browsing and blocked storage can prevent work from being kept between visits.
Storage belongs to the specific site and browser profile. Your local development copy, another browser, another device and the published Paterna site do not automatically share presets.
Your choices
- Delete individual Custom presets using their delete button.
- Clear Paterna’s site data in your browser to remove the saved workspace, presets and preferences.
- Download patterns you want to keep before clearing storage.
- Use the app without persistent saving if your browser blocks local storage; export important work before leaving.
Reset changes the current artwork back to its preset baseline. It does not erase all browser-stored data.
Downloads and clipboard
PNG, SVG and CSS exports are generated locally in the browser. Clicking Copy writes the selected SVG or CSS export to your system clipboard when your browser permits it. Paterna does not read your existing clipboard contents as part of this feature.
Accounts, analytics and advertising
This version does not include account registration, an analytics integration or advertising scripts. It uses local storage for the functions described above rather than an advertising cookie system.
If analytics, advertisements or other data-processing services are introduced, this policy will be updated to describe them and any choices you have before those features are enabled.
Website requests and outside links
Opening a website sends ordinary connection information, such as your IP address and browser request headers, to its hosting infrastructure. Hosting and security systems may process technical request information to deliver and protect the website. This does not mean that your locally stored patterns are uploaded.
When you follow an external link, that destination handles information under its own policies. Paterna does not control those websites.
Questions and updates
For questions about this policy, contact Paterna’s creator through giomak.com. Please do not send sensitive information or private preset names unless they are necessary for your question.
We will update the date on this page when the policy changes. You can also read the License or return to the studio.
