Make something with it. Patterns generated and exported through Paterna can be used in personal and commercial projects, without attribution.

What you can do

You may use, copy, modify and include your exported PNG, SVG and CSS patterns in your own work and in work you create for clients.

  • Websites, apps, presentations and social media graphics.
  • Brand materials, packaging, stationery and printed products.
  • Paid client projects, templates and products that incorporate the patterns.

You do not need to credit Paterna or pay a royalty for these uses. A link back is appreciated, but optional.

What this permission covers

This permission covers pattern artwork generated and exported using the studio. You can recolor, resize, crop, combine and otherwise adapt it for your project.

The permission does not grant rights to the Paterna name, logo, website interface, source code or third-party assets. Do not present your project as an official Paterna product or imply an endorsement.

Simple shapes are not exclusive

Paterna uses shared geometric pattern types. Other people may generate similar or identical results. We do not promise exclusivity or that a pattern is suitable for registration as a trademark.

Your responsibility

Check that your final use is appropriate for your project. Any additional artwork, logos, text or other materials you combine with an exported pattern remain subject to their own rights and licenses.

No warranty

The studio and exported patterns are provided “as is” and “as available,” without a warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing here excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes and questions

If these terms change, this page and its update date will be revised. Keep a copy of the applicable terms with important project files.
